Kickin' Ass and Takin' Names

Last night, the Tigers beat the White Sox in Chicago. Can you believe it? Love me some Tigers, but the relief pitching this year? Eek.

If that's not enough? The Lions beat the Giants. You know, the Superbowl champions? Yeah, I know it's pre-season, and the Giants were probably playing their waterboy and the team's wives. Whatever. The Lions never beat anybody.

So, you know how when two famous people die in a relatively short period of time? And everyone starts looking for the third? Waiting for the other shoe to drop? That's me last night. Wondering what would complete the tri-fecta of "No Way!"

Then I opened up my comments this morning to find this little piece of news:

From Trooper Thorn! At Dogs and Jeans! And oh, that part about coming by his blog so often? Yeah, well. If you are on my Google reader list? I visit you a lot because not only do I have to read and comment on your post, I am compelled to return frequently to see if, you know, anyone recognizes the brilliance of my comments or whatever. Plus, I'm on vacation and have very little in the way of personal resources for entertainment (meaning no imagination).

So look out world, I am passing this on to:

1. LiteralDan because he's funny as hell, and was the first person I didn't actually know to comment on my blog!

2. Mama Dawg at Two Dogs Running because she tells an incredibly engaging story on a regular basis.

3.Captain Dumbass at Us and Them because he has Favoured Canadian Status here, and a little international love is good. Soon, Mrs. Dumbass will begin asking uncomfortable questions.

4. cog at Driving the Flies because he's gonna need it to keep him company in that hermit cave, and

5. drwende at The Sky is Bigger There, in spite of the fact that she frequently makes me (ew!) think.

Is it a little lame when your website won't let one of your awardees make a comment? MamaDawg from Two Dogs Running and I have been exchanging Tweets because my website doesn't like her computer! Maybe it's because the aliens have tapped into her hard drive and implanted "The Device." So I feel bad about that, but she is pleased about the award and gave me the freedom to comment FOR her. AND she said I could make stuff up if I wanted to. But I wouldn't do that.

I've been to Chicago before and saw the Cubs play at Wrigley field. I was very hung over and sick but I enjoyed the game. I know the Cubs aren't the White Sox and vice versa but just thought I'd share.
