This week's Spin Cycle is about guilt, and having been raised Catholic, I should have dozens of stories to share, but, no.
I feel guilty that I never really said thank you to Kerry Smith for the flowers he sent me when I was sixteen and sick enough to miss school for a week.
And the last time I went to a class reunion, my old locker-mate, Cindy, cornered me and apologized for getting me in trouble by hiding my books. She had felt bad about it for twenty-five years.
That's about all I got guilt-wise.
So I'll take the opportunity to share this. Randy Newman with the Rotterdam Philharmonic, circa 1979.
