19-year-old-Girl's friend showed up the other day to drop off her birthday present as I was setting up our new Obama sign on the lawn.
"You want a Levin?" he asked. Carl Levin is Michigan's senior Senator, and a damn good guy.
"Hell, yeah! You got one?" Not only did he have a Levin, he had one for Andy Dillon, our embattled Speaker of the House in Michigan who is not only up for re-election, he's up for recall at the same time. But I like him because he gets stuff done. And he had more! A trunk-full! Did I mention he is politically active? And that he is the one who got Ms. Partly Cloudy involved?
So, as we were putting these lawn signs up, my neighbor drove by. She stopped, rolled down her window and said, "Looks like political croquet!" I left the trees so you can see the gorgeous colors here right now. And the fact that my lawn needs to be raked.
Handy Jeff was working on the blue bathroom, getting rid of the Eye of Sauron so I could pee. He commented that the color was very sky-ish, and could he try something with the ceiling? Oh, sure, give it a shot. Here's the fun result.
So now my bathroom is Partly Cloudy! Just like my daughter! When Husband saw the results (which I had to point out to him, or he may never have noticed), his response was, "Where's the Simpson's logo?"
I'm very tempted.
