The difference between Michigan in April and Florida in April are manifold. Last night, we went swimming and hot-tubbing at 9 p.m. Outdoors. We are in a seaside villa at Disney's Vero Beach Resort, and aside from a little slowness at having our room ready, things are awesomely and superbly wonderful here. A fine time is being had by all concerned.
I noticed, while taking some pictures of the place last night, that there was a spot on the pictures. And when I used the zoom, the spot became more focused. An investigation using the sophisticated fingernail tool (I ran my fingernail over the spot) revealed a tiny divot in the lens of my trust Canon point-and-shoot.
A trip to Guest Guy is planned for later. Right now, the great room of our villa looks like this:
I am camera-shopping and blogging. Everybody else is doing something work-related. Chico is the one with the 2-computer setup. Larry tried to close his laptop, when he say Bud with the camera, but we didn't let him get away with it.
I have a few cool photos already, but I want to save them for tomorrow when I can post some comparison shots with old and new cameras! I am taking a step up from point-and-shoot, but not leaping all the way to DSLR, because I am just too cheap to spend that kind of green on a camera and all the equipment you need to go with it. More on that later....here's one shot to tide you over:
This is the villa next door, a reasonable approximation of the one we are in right now. Leave me a comment telling me how much you miss me..
