(Title sung to the tune of "It's Howdy Doody Time!")
Gonna be humming that all day now, aren't ya? You're welcome. Maybe I should rename this blog "Mind Worms."
Keely, the UnMom, is your hostess. You can blame her for all the random shit spread all over the internet today. No, really.
I ordered a scarf on Amazon.com, and it arrived yesterday. I realized that I have the basics of a very serviceable wardrobe, but it's kind of dull. I need a few little pops here and there that I can add over the basic stuff. For instance, my friend K-Bar gave me a fabulous chocolate brown, knee-length skirt. Right away, I had a couple different tops I thought would look great, but both the skirt and the tops are plain fabric. So, I found a scarf I liked, and added the brooch I found at the thrift store...
...and it immediately made me blurry. Or that might have been my photo skills. Here's the brooch on the scarf...
This one is just as blurry, but the lighting is better, so you can see the cool, micro-pleats at the bottom of the skirt. The scarf is mostly orange, but has the chocolate brown in it, too.
It's made of pashmina and silk so it's fine enough that I can use the brooch to gather the whole thing up. I think I may wear the scarf tonight at the Meet 'n' Greet scheduled for work.
When I shopped for the ingredients for Easter dinner for 15 people, I caved in and bought a bouquet of flowers. I don't usually indulge, but I loved how they look. Here's what my "desk" looks like:
Why, yes, one of my walls is pale peach and the other is seafoam. Why do you ask?
Speaking of seafoam, I bought two new camis last night at Target. I described them to Hubs as 'seafoam' and 'raspberry.' I think he was laughing at me, but I bet all the women out there can picture both of those colors!
Hopefully you have all been to Olive Hue Designs, Tera's blog, and have seen her amazing graphic art. Someone challenged her that there was no such thing as a cute zombie. Heh. She showed 'em. And I convinced her to start selling her designs at Zazzle. I'm ordering one of these...
I added the URL for the Zombie News Network, where Captain Dumbass and I collect and produce zombie-related content for your reading pleasure. Tera also gave me an award last week, and I will post about that later in the week.
My much older sister, TennLady, also gave me an award, so I'll do them both at once. That one is the Ancestor Approved Award. Since all my ancestors are dead, I've found them to be an easy-to-please bunch. Not much on dinner conversation, though.
Have a great afternoon, folks, and go visit Keely!
