If I was wiser, I'd have composed this post last night. Since yesterday incorporated several miles worth of walking, I was too whipped at the end of the night to write. I didn't even make it through the (admittedly very late west-coast) Tiger game.
I added extra stars to my badge, which makes me extra-special. Short-bus special.
Bud pointed out that I don't have a link on my sidebar to the Zombie News Network. How sad is THAT? I'll work on that today, if I get a chance. Maybe Picnik can help.
I think I need a second cup of coffee this morning.
All of yesterday's walking was done on shoes that I think are no longer up to the job. SO I think I have injured the tendon that goes from the big toe toward the heel. Ouchies.
Where did I walk, and with whom? I am so glad you asked! In the morning, I met the Mayor of Sasstown at a local mall, and we made five or six circuits around the indoor perimeter. Being at the mall when the stores are closed is really the best time, I think. We walked from 9 a.m. until 11:15, and had a lovely chat the whole time.
The second walk was with Ellie. We normally walk on Tuesday evenings, but I realized that I was working tonight, so I called to ask if she was available for last night, and lo! and behold! she was. So we walked our usual circuit, which is about a mile.
I am considering a pair of those Skechers Shape-ups as a replacement shoe. Anybody out there that has tried them...do they provide arch support? I have a very high arch. Chiropractor-Dude has given them the O.K.
First shift at the new job went really well, although I did fall down exhausted upon return home. It wasn't physically demanding at all, but anything new is stressful, even if it's fun! Such nice people, such a beautiful place! I am on-call tomorrow, and if I don't end up working, I want to visit and take pictures for you to see!
