- That, there, is a button. You can click on it to go meet Keely, the host of the hot mess called Random Tuesday Thoughts.
- I have tried composing some RTTs in the last couple weeks, on Sundays. Have you seen them?
- No, you haven't.
- Why is that, do you suppose?
- Maybe because I am distracted by sparkly things.
- Or opt for nap-time mid-post.
- So, I moved this one up to Saturday.
- If you don't see this on Tuesday, you'll know why.
- Heh.
- When I left my retail position rather suddenly, I rashly told my boss at the store that I would be willing to come help out for "Events."
- I work at a National Historic Landmark.
- Events are B.I.G.
- This weekend is Motor Muster which is a VERY big deal, when you live in a city whose entire economy is based on the automotive industry. We take our cars very seriously here.
- So, I am working at the store tonight, from six until close.
- Tomorrow, I am working, but not in the store. A major part of my new duties is the organizational for a teacher workshop sponsored by the National Endowment for the Humanities. 39 teachers from all over the country, including Hawaii(!), are coming to be immersed for a week in America's Industrial Revolution, with curators from our museum, and experts from around the country. There are some last bits of setup to be done, so I'll be working tomorrow from about 2pm until 8 or so, then a big week will follow.
- Father's Day will be NEXT weekend around these parts.
- Come to think of it, I worked on Mother's Day, too.
- Hmmm.
- Last night, I talked to my former teaching partner, as she was on her way to an end-of-the-school-year-and-we-survived party. As much as I don't miss the classroom, I was sorry not to be joining the party. I miss everyone!
- On a completely different topic...
- The Women's Colony is no more. I am going through Mrs. G. withdrawal. I hope she resurrects Derfwad Manor which is represented here, but was its own stand-alone blog a couple years ago. Heather (Mrs. G.) is truly one of my favorite writers, and favorite people of EVER.
Ed: Although I am employed by The Henry Ford, this post, in no way, reflects the opinions of The Henry Ford.
