And she said to write about Halloween.
My kids are too old for trick-or-treat, so I have no adorable costume pictures to show you. How about one from years ago? Let's see....

The weird little, out-of-place heart is there because the side of the pumpkin I wanted to carve had a rotten spot. That's also why there is light coming out of the BOTTOM of the pumpkin. Apparently, I was not careful enough when selecting gourdware.
The real show that night was not the pumpkins or the costumes, but Mother Nature herself.
I really thought the sky was spectacular...until I rode to work with Buddy (I had a conference to go to at Cobo Hall, two buildings away from where he works; the day did not turn out well, as I came down with the flu before noon..ergh.) on Tuesday morning...
This one was taken with my Blackberry. I don't recall exactly how many times I said "Wow!" as we drove downtown. More than twice. If someone painted the sky like this, I'd think it was ridiculous, "The sky never looks like that!"
