Things I probably should be doing instead of writing a blog post this morning:
1) Wrapping some presents. All are bought. Most have arrived. Not one is wrapped. Not that this is a huge deal, the kids are grown, and we don't do huge Christmases anymore. But still.
2) Baking anything for the holidays. Not gonna happen. The waistline is in danger. Buddy's too, so no home made goodies for us this year.There doesn't appear to be a moratorium on store-bought, though. Buddy and his dad, visiting from Dayton, went to the bakery outlet yesterday. The donuts, they sing my name.
3) Taking the bags and boxes of donations to the Salvation Army store. Although it's just occurred to me that Buddy is off work today. Ha! Bonus points for me! Dear Bud....
4) Did I mention that I haven't wrapped anything yet?
5) Warming up my car...wait a second...okay, I'm actually doing that now. I drive a 2004 Chrysler Pacifica. Except for the fact that it has the visibility of a Sherman tank, it's a great car. It's got more options inside it than any other vehicle we have owned. We've taken good care of it, and it has loved us in return for seven years and 114,000+ miles. But for some reason, the heater is incredibly slow to get going. Also, the heat controls are whack.
6) Figuring out why my left-side "Shift" button sticks. When I type words that begin with caps, Odds Are that The first Two letters Will End Up Capitalized. Shit. Of Course It hasn't Happenned Once. Ignore this one. Just believe Me that I have Un-Capitalized Lots of Second Letters. And only on this computer, which is why I don't think it's my typing skills (or lack thereof).
7) Drinking some water, as the onslaught of winter seems to have made me dehydration prone. Gotta fix that one, too.
8) Leaving for work. Oh. Wait. I'm doing that one in a minute.
