Some New Digs
Here's the greeting I put up at a very special, new location, call it a blogging experiment. Look for posts by Debra and kj. They are the Mayor and Deputy Mayor of our new town. (I'm not leaving Unmitigated, just trying to spread myself too thin in an effort to make the end of the summer as stressful busy fun as possible.)
"Hi! I'm your new neighbor, right over there at 629 Blogland Lane. Can I borrow a cup of sugar? I was going to make a pie and discovered I was out! Oh, and while I'm here, do you have shortening, flour, vanilla, salt, some apples and a pie tin? I'm not really good in the kitchen.
I am handy with a camera, so if you need a photo of something for, I don't know, insurance purposes? I'm your woman. I'll swap photos for food, lest I starve."
Some Flowers
Every year for my birthday/anniversary, Husband-Styro brings me flowers and candy. The candy is always a Three Musketeers bar because it's my favorite. Here are the flowers--two dozen for our 24th year.
Some Teens In Cages
I think we can all agree that this is an idea with some merit (and will generate some interesting Google hits). However, the cage is actually an indoor/outdoor pen for Connie Chung. It was set up in the living room to try it out, and the kids climbed in (one at a time) to play with our new pet.
And, the intended recipient of all this wire-mesh glory...
Ms. Chung, herself. I may or may not have taken a turn in the cage. I certainly made sure there was no photographic evidence.
